Choose a restaurant receipt template that matches the job

A café check, a fast food slip and an A4 invoice-style bill solve different problems. Start with paper size and service flow, then choose the fields your real transaction needs.

Start with paper size

Use 58mm for compact counter slips, 80mm for itemized restaurant and café receipts, and A4 when invoice-style details need more room.

Match the service flow

Pickup counters benefit from a large order number. Dine-in service may need table and server fields. Cash counters need amount received and change due.

Show only the right totals

Choose a template that supports the discount, service charge, tip and tax lines you actually use. The generator calculates each visible total from the values entered.

What a useful restaurant receipt records

The exact legal requirements vary, but a clear transaction record normally connects the business, order, totals and settlement in one readable document.

Business identity: restaurant name, address, phone, logo and tax ID when applicable.
Transaction identity: bill number, date, time and optional table or server details.
Itemized order: dish name, quantity, unit price, adjustments, tax and final total.
Settlement and output: payment method, paid status, PDF, PNG or the correct print width.

Receipt, bill or tax invoice?

Receipt: A record that payment was received. Thermal restaurant and café templates fit this job well.
Bill or check: An itemized amount presented for payment. It may later become part of the final receipt.
Tax invoice: A regulated tax document. A template can help with layout, but the issuer must meet local registration, numbering and field requirements.
